Cannes Lions Awards 2011
Winners Reel

SAA hosted the screening of the prestigious international Cannes Lions Awards 2011 on 30 Nov 2011 at SMU.

The event was well attended by over 100 advertisers, media owners, advertising agencies and marketing communications professionals. Besides the screening and exhibition of some of the world's best advertising works, the audience were treated to a thought provoking keynote speech 'Beyond Advertising' by Rahul Welde, Vice President - Media at Unilever Asia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey and Russia.

Chris Chiu, Group Executive Creative Director of Leo Burnett Group wowed the participants with his award winning entry for the Ministry of Community Development / National Family Council on 'Filial Piety' which was Singapore's sole winner in the Films Lions Category.

As one member aptly summarised, "I came with much enthusiasm and I returned with many fresh advertising ideas and a new marketing experience".

The Singapore Advertisers Association (SAA) was formed in 1952 as a non-profit organization, seven years after the Japanese surrendered their occupation of Singapore. Read more about us

Are You A Member Yet?

Membership is more than a privilege. It is a necessity in any rule of engagement that united we stand, divided we fall. In a developed economy like Singapore, advertisers united is a strong economic contributor to the GNP and a force that cannot be ignored. To be a member, submit this Application to the Secretaries in a hard copy, send it by surface mail, and we will revert to you in due course.

If you are a corporate advertiser, no matter what your budget, you can be a member of the Singapore Advertisers Association for a small entrance fee. Thereafter, subscription is yearly.

We welcome those in the agencies, media, and related industry such as marketing communications, public relations, publishing, printing, filmmaking, and event organizers to be an Associate member. Non-specified industries are also accepted depending on a case-to-case basis.
