34th Annual General Meeting elected Aesthetic Bay as Council Member and Treasurer
We welcome Mr Tan Fong Kum, Managing Director of Aesthetic Bay Pte Ltd as our new Council Member and Treasurer, who was duly elected at our 34th AGM last April 29h. Fong Kum brings with him a wealth of experience besides by the CEO of an exclusive writing instruments retailer, he is also a wine connoisseur. No doubt SAA members will be treated to a taste of wine in this new year's program.
Much-awaited SAA Lunch Time Talk brought in a crowd of 58 people
Dr Chris Smith, our guest speaker, who is the Academic Director of the University of Adelaide's MBA (Offshore) Program, did not disappoint his audience with his lunch time delivery of the myths of 'Strategy' on Friday, 29th March. Drawing from his wide and diverse business experience. and applying his skills as a clinical psychologist, Dr Smith questioned whether successful business strategy is really a matter of chance? Well, with a well defined model, no; without a proven model, yes. More importantly, success must be performance driven through a charted path that Dr Smith shared with his audience. The SAA takes this opportunity to thank him and our partner, Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre (NAAEC), for making the talk and SAA's lunchtime gathering a success.
